The Nike Air Max 97 Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus Black celebrates the Air Max 25th anniversary with a collaboration between CDG, the Tokyo fashion label based in Paris, and Nike.

The classic undulating upper of the Nike Air Max 97 in the Black/Metallic Black colorway of this collab with Comme Des Garcons is made of opaque black mesh overlaid with faded-looking metallic black tumbled leather. Opaque black appears again on the insoles with dual branding, sock liner, and mesh tongue with Nike branding. The pull tab on the heel sports Air Max branding and a Nike swoosh appears midfoot above the mud guard on both the medial and lateral sides.

What we love most about this sneaker is the dependability of the sole unit. The glistening black midsole houses a full-length Nike Air Max unit atop a black rubber outsole with a Nike swoosh highlighted on the heel.
